A video shared on social media by Sonny Dickson shows what appears to be a Clear Case for the iPhone 17 Pro. This isn’t the polished packaging Apple typically offers in stores; it looks more like an early replica of the upcoming accessory.
The standout feature of this case is that it isn’t entirely clear. Unlike previous versions, the back has a large white section, while the edges remain translucent, allowing the iPhone’s frame to be visible. This design covers the MagSafe magnetic ring, which was usually seen as a small circle in older clear cases, marking a noticeable shift in Apple’s approach to “clear.”

The case also reflects Apple’s rumored change to the iPhone 17 Pro camera design. The traditional camera bump appears replaced by a wider, horizontal bar, and the case cutout spans the top, leaving ample room for a larger camera module. In the video, running a finger along the cutout highlights its size, suggesting support for the 48MP triple-camera system. The design ensures the cameras remain unobstructed while giving the case a slightly larger appearance than previous models.
MagSafe functionality remains a key feature. While the white back panel partially conceals the magnetic ring, it does not seem to interfere with performance. The video doesn’t show a phone being attached, but the case has precise openings for the charging coil and a Camera Control crystal, a white strip visible in the clip, likely linked to the iPhone 17 Pro’s new camera functions for quick adjustments.
The bottom of the case includes notable dual cutouts. These are designed for Apple’s rumored Crossbody Strap accessory, allowing a strap to loop through for hands-free carrying. Although the video doesn’t demonstrate the strap, the openings suggest the case is designed for both utility and style, in line with Apple’s modular accessory strategy.
Material-wise, the case appears to use the familiar hard polycarbonate seen in past clear cases. The video shows some slight flex under pressure, but not enough to suggest it is flimsy or low-quality. Leaks indicate Apple may address the yellowing issue in clear cases with a new coating, though the video doesn’t confirm this. The surface appears smooth, though fingerprints are faintly visible under light.
