Hey, I’d vote for Palin to be Vice President. Sure, vice-president of my PTA but, not of my country. I like to vote for people who went to a school that I couldn’t get into. But, I think I could even get into Univ of Idaho. Sure, everyone loves to berate to Jamie Lynn Spears because of her teen pregnancy but, we’re just glad the Bristol bravely chose to keep the baby. In politics, we vote for people that are holier than thou, perfect specimens of humanity that have never committed a grevious act like say trying to get their former brother-in-law canned. So, we have a guy who even the Republican party didn’t really want and he goes out and picks someone that no one even heard of in the 48 contiguous states.  You know, that’s just not me venting!

In a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll out today  puts McCain 10 points behind his Democratic rival Barack Obama, 55 percent of respondents and potential voters said they believed that Palin is not cut out to be vice president. Even more troubling, many Republican voters unhappy with Palin are seeing their misgivings confirmed, above all with the “troopergate” scandal, in which the governor is being investigated for alleged abuse of power in trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired from the Alaska state police force.

In any case, I guess you can’t put lipstick on pig after all (figure of speech, in no way is Sara Palin being referred to as pig, just the idea of her nomination).  The Politico website late Tuesday caused a stir by publishing financial records of the Republican National Committee showing it has spent more than 150,000 dollars on clothes for Palin since she was picked by McCain at the end of August.

Lindsay Lohan looks like may be kindling some sparks for Chace Crawford? UK tabloids have been reporting that Lindsay has been talking about her crush to Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford.  That’s odd, ’cause didn’t the freckled one just say she was in love with with her gal-pal, DJ Ronson?  The British rumor mills have been saying that Lindsay and Chace exchanged numbers at a Diesel XXX party and that she’s been calling him ever since. 

Don’t say we didnt warn you, you may want to reserve your tickets now! The JBs and Taylor Swift will be playing at Rodeo Houston at Reliant Stadium. The Jonas Brothers perform March 8, 2009 and Swift takes the stage March 20, 2009.  Other performers announced Monday include Rascal Flatts (March 3) and Brad Paisley (March 12), both of whom performed to big RodeoHouston crowds earlier this year. Flatts’ previous show attracted 72,051 folks; Paisley’s performance drew 73,003 fans. Both are among the top 10 paid-attendance record holders. (Miley holds the top 2 spots).  It’ll be interesting to see if Miley’s “friend” can top those numbers.

Okay, he’s not completely naked in the new Emporio Armani ad, but he’s really not that far from it. Especially with his legs splayed wide open. Anyway, he’s done his job, as apparently tight white briefs have increased in sales by 50%. Armani themselves are enjoying a 30% increase in sales.

Well, just wait until someone reminds guys that wearing tight briefs reduces sperm count. Oh wait, I just did. On the other hand, maybe wearing briefs will cut down on the incredible number of celebrity pregnancies and births witnessed in 2007.

On the flipside, maybe his wife Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham, will stop saying she’s a gay man in a woman’s body.

Alex Trebek, the host of TV game show Jeopardy, is doing well after suffering a minor heart attack. It’s said that he’ll be back in the studio next month to new shoot new episodes. Hopefully he’ll wear pants.

The legendary Ike Turner has died in his sleep at age 76. The incredibly talented performer was married to Tina Turner in a reportedly violent marriage. The two performed together as the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, and opened for many bands including the Rolling Stones.

Cause of death has not been reported yet.

First, Janice Dickinson - Supermodel 1,000,000 yrs B.C. - defended Jennifer Love Hewitt’s big ass and slammed Tyra. “Tyra’s fat.” Then she fake apologized when fat Al Roker challenged her. Now Tyra “Big Ass” Banks supposedly said that Britney Spears should just kill herself, go out in a grand way like Marilyn Monroe.

I seriously hope that this is a rumor because this goes beyond simple cattiness/ nastiness. On the other hand, if the following video is real, maybe Tyra did say all that.

The Led Zeppelin concert in London Monday night was apparently well-attended by many celebs and even some British royals. Or should I say Royals? Speaking of which, Fashion Royalty Naomi Campbell says she was mugged in the luxury box, that her handbag was taken, which contained two phones.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Maybe it was one of the two people Campbell supposedly struck with a phone in the past? Later reports say that she was not mugged, and some say her bag was stolen, so it’s all a bit confusing.

It’s hard to believe that little Frances Bean is now 15 years old. She’s the daughter of former rock mess Courtney Love (once a stripper) and grunge rock idol Curt Cobain, who died in April 1994. Frances Bean was just a wee baby when Cobain met his untimely end. Love has had a troubled life in those intervening years, as Frances grew up.

Some Nirvana fans believe Love had something to do with his death by what was deemed self-inflicted gunshot wounds, and Love has had an uphill battle since. She’s had plastic surgery that softened her facial features - one of very few such surgeries that enhanced rather than destroyed. And she’s now a practicing Buddhist, even to the point of chanting before an interview. You can read more about the balance she’s achieved in an interview at the Telegraph. Gwen Stefani Offers Scholarship Fund
It’s nice to see a growing trend of celebs doing something nice for others. Gwen Stefani, who has never behaved badly as far as I know, has set up a college scholarship fund aimed at students affected by the California wildfires this fall. While there are other funds coming, she donated proceeds from her Oct 30 San Diego concert.
